As a member of the Customer Education team, you’ll be part of a team that cares deeply about creating learning experiences that deliver delight and value at scale. We want our customers to not only become Asana experts, but champions of our brand. Our educational experiences are central to that strategy. This role reports to the Customer Education Program Lead and will be based in San Francisco.
This role is based in our Dublin office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. Along with most Asanas, you’ll work from this office in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays. If you're interviewing for this role, your Talent Acquisition Partner will share more about the in-office requirements.
What you’ll achieve
- Partner with instructional designers to create innovative and delightful visual assets such as illustrations, infographics, GIFs, animations, Asana projects, and more, to teach a variety of topics and skills
- Record and edit educational videos using tools like Final Cut, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. Record live-action footage in-house or in collaboration with external vendors
- Utilize adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to produce visually engaging learning experiences that support desired learner outcomes
- Contribute to the development of a unique look-and-feel of our customer education experiences in partnership with our Brand team
- Apply a global lens to the learning experiences you design, ensuring our entire global customer base has access to best-in-class learning solutions
- Analyze the effectiveness of educational content and continuously improve our customers’ learning experience via data-driven decision-making
- Develop your craft by staying up to date with industry changes, sharing best practices, and receiving/offering feedback on learning experiences that you and your teammates develop
About you
- Strong visual and content design skills. The learning experiences you create are not only beautiful and engaging but informative and educational
- Experience with visual designer who has a sensitivity to style, a passion for precision, and knows how to distill complex topics into delightful, digestible visuals
- Deep empathy for your learners – in this case, Asana’s customers. You’re passionate about finding innovative ways to increase learner engagement, delight, and retention
- Foundational understanding of instructional design and adult learning principles
- Experience with graphic design, responsive design, simulations, animation/motion graphics, and other visual content mediums
- Proficient at adapting resources to varied user needs and adjusting content regularly based on data, training-related feedback, and product updates
- Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience with video editing tools such as Final Cut, Premiere and After-Effects and with eLearning tools like Articulate, Camtasia or Captivate
- Experience with creating high-quality, live-action recordings
- Experience with graphic design software such as Photoshop, Figma, and Illustrator
- 3+ years crafting visual media including videos, gifs, illustrations, animations, images, and infographics.

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between €85,000 - €109,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
