About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, innovative, and results-driven Group Product Manager (GPM) to lead the development and growth of our product offerings focused on air pollution intelligence and response. We’re looking for someone who will bring a strong understanding of product development, business strategy, and community engagement, with a proven track record of delivering products that solve real-world problems in complex markets (e.g. at the cross section of government, industry, community stakeholders). As the Group Product Manager, you will drive the strategy, development, and launch of innovative products that harness our unique sensing capabilities to address the pressing challenges that air pollution has on our planet and its people.

You will use your in-depth understanding of the market to make critical, evidence based prioritization decisions that increase our products’ adoption. You will lead cross-functional teams and work closely with our leadership teams and external stakeholders to create products that drive measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision:

  • Define and execute the product strategy for air pollution intelligence and response solutions that address the needs of diverse stakeholders across government, policymakers, industry, and the general public.

  • Work with senior leadership to refine business models, ensuring they are scalable, sustainable, and have proven market fit.

  • Collaborate with leaders to define and execute product strategies and roadmaps that align with the company’s vision and mission.

  • Conduct market and competitive research, sharing your insights with the team to inform product development and strategy.

  • Engage with government agencies, regulators, and community organizations to ensure products meet compliance standards and foster public-private partnerships. The goal is to ensure customer satisfaction by aligning product offerings with regulatory requirements, business goals, and user demands.

Product Management Fundamentals:

  • Serve as the ultimate example of a Product Manager by upholding high standards of user-centricity in every aspect of the product development process.

  • Foster a culture of experimentation and learning, ensuring that all ideas are validated by data and customer insights.

  • Promote collaboration, working across teams to create an excellent product experience, both internally and externally.

Business Model Development:

  • Lead the development of strong business models that balance innovation, profitability, and social impact.

  • Work cross-functionally to refine pricing strategies, revenue generation models, and customer engagement approaches that cater to appropriate markets across (B2B, B2G, B2C).

Product Development & Market Fit:

  • Work with the team to craft goals and expectations for our products, consistently monitoring performance.

  • Report on performance metrics to the product team and leadership, and develop a plan to amplify positive trends while addressing negative ones.

  • Ensure that efforts are continually aligned with key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives.

  • Ensure products are market-ready by collaborating with product design, engineering, and biz dev teams to validate product-market fit.

  • Take a data-driven approach to refine products based on user feedback, market analysis, and emerging trends in air quality and climate tech.

  • Inform go-to-market (GTM) strategies to launch new products, ensuring proper positioning and messaging for various customer segments (B2B, B2C, B2G) to create effective campaigns that drive adoption and engagement.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Help grow and lead a team of product managers, guiding them through product development cycles and ensuring alignment with business goals.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability across product, science, engineering, and business teams.

Product Operations:

  • Design and implement processes that increase productivity, communication, product value, and impact across teams.

  • Continuously evaluate tools and processes to ensure they are adding value, and be open to implementing unique, innovative solutions that challenge the status quo.

  • Ensure that Product Management practices remain adaptable and scalable, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

  • Work with our team to craft goals and expectations for our products, consistently monitoring performance.

  • Ensure that efforts are continually aligned with key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives.

  • Report on performance metrics to the product team and leadership, and develop a plan to amplify positive trends while addressing negative ones.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (Group Product Manager, Senior Product Manager, etc.).

  • Concurrently owned multiple products from ideation through launch and iteration at a SaaS company and upholding multi-product platform strategies. Experience with data intelligence platforms a plus

  • Proven experience in developing products with strong market fit, particularly in complex industries or markets where users and buyers may be different groups.

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to define and drive profitable business models.

  • Expertise in managing cross-functional teams and driving products through the entire product lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated experience with go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, pricing, and customer acquisition.

Skills:

  • Proven track record of repeatable product launch and iteration successes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to effectively operate with high-energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.

Pay Transparency

The base salary range for this full-time exempt position if located in the SF Bay Area, New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Washington DC, or Seattle metro region is $160,000 - $180,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and are informed by current market data provided by Carta Total Comp.

Within those ranges, individual pay is determined by exact region and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The hiring manager can share more about the specific salary range for your geographic region during the hiring process. Employee must continue to reside within 90 miles of location used to determine starting salary, otherwise Aclima reserves the right to make regional adjustments to pay.
