The Role

We're hiring a Business Development Representative to work directly alongside Lucid's Founder and President as the dedicated outbound partner powering his client acquisition motion. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with a founder on real accounts, booking meetings, chasing the RFPs that turn into our biggest contracts, and using AI tools to do in an hour what most BDRs do in a day.

You'll report functionally to our VP of Sales for performance and growth, but day-to-day you're the President's right hand.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and prioritize target accounts.
  • Build, send, and iterate multi-touch HubSpot email sequences.
  • Monitor open, click, and response rates; refine messaging based on what the data shows.
  • Book qualified meetings and own scheduling end-to-end.
  • Drive parallel outreach on LinkedIn to multiply touch points across target accounts.
  • Discover and qualify open RFPs; support response completion alongside the President.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing on shared marketing and outbound campaigns.
  • Over time, draft outbound and response messaging with minimal supervision once aligned on voice and strategy.

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent meeting volume on the President's calendar with qualified prospects
  • Healthy open, click, and response rates across email sequences, and steady improvement over time
  • Pipeline of identified RFPs with completion support driving toward larger contract wins
  • Growing autonomy on messaging and response drafting as voice alignment builds

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years in a BDR seat, ideally healthcare-adjacent (staffing, med device, healthcare SaaS)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication. You can craft an email that gets opened and a follow-up that gets a reply
  • Polish. You'll represent a founder's voice in writing and on calls
  • Door-opening instincts at health systems and hospitals
  • Strong HubSpot fluency (or equivalent sales engagement platform)
  • Genuine AI fluency. You build with a tool belt across drafting, sequencing, and optimization.
  • Comfort being coached on voice and messaging
  • Drive to use this role as a springboard into AE, account management, or staffing leadership
