About the Role:
AngelList is seeking an Investor Relations Associate to join our Limited Partner (LP) Relations team. We are looking for a collaborative, curious, highly analytical, customer- and process-oriented leader who will own the top of our institutional LP funnel, act as a manager for key LP accounts, and work cross-functionally within AngelList to resolve challenges and support best-in-class institutional LP support.
In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of our institutional LP customers (and potential customers), and how each part of our business impacts their experience. You will directly contribute to our ability to scale our solutions for both existing and potential institutional LPs. You’ll also work to manage relationships and enhance our service and product offerings for our existing customers, including retail LPs.

In your initial four weeks you’ll focus on:

  • Building context around our LP base, including both institutional and non-institutional LPs.
  • Building context around our products, services, and roadmaps.
  • Learning and executing customer workflows around onboarding and ongoing support.

Over the next 2-3 months, you’ll:

  • Master our workflows and be able to drive them with limited supervision.
  • Develop direct account relationships over which you’ll have primary responsibility.

By the end of your first six months, you’ll:

  • Be able to drive our customer workflows independently.
  • Begin identifying opportunities for workflow efficiency and improvement.
  • By the end of your first nine months, you’ll be able to drive cross-functional efforts to improve our product and services with limited supervision.

You have:

  • 2-4+ years in a customer facing role with operational responsibilities within a venture or investment type of environment
  • Previous experience in an early-stage, high-growth company.
  • Knowledge of how to navigate and be successful working across multiple teams in a startup environment.
  • An understanding of core financial concepts and venture capital.
  • Have high empathy and are able to effectively understand the perspectives of multiple stakeholders.
  • Have exceptional communication skills. In particular, you will act as the voice of AngelList to our highest-impact customers, and the voice of our customers to our internal stakeholders.
  • Take a data-informed approach to decision-making, and have excellent analytical skills.
  • Recognize edge cases so that we can address them proactively and improve our products and services to mitigate them in future instances.
  • Have experience evaluating, implementing, and customizing customer success solutions and services, with a keen eye toward creating a seamless experience for institutional investors.
  • Work well in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Are comfortable with both high-level strategic decisions and getting into the details.
  • Have strong change management skills: you are able to rally cross-functional teams around new processes.
  • Team player—everyone needs to pull for each other, challenge each other, share best practices, and take on team projects to make the entire organization better.
  • A deep love of startups

AngelList has offices in two hub cities: San Francisco and New York City that you can choose to work from. We’re focused on hiring within these hubs and people within 1 hour travel distance of the hub offices are expected to come into the office twice per week.
