Our website serves as the front door for millions of prospective customers each month and is an essential destination for current customers striving to get the most out of Asana. In this role, you’ll build close ties with teams within and beyond the Product to ensure our website is seamlessly integrated into our core product experience from sign-up to renewal, with the ultimate goal of driving activation, visitation, retention, and monetization. This role is perfect for a product manager with previous experience optimizing customer acquisition and retention funnels, who has a penchant for hypothesis-driven product development and A/B experimentation, and who has deep empathy for customers. You have strong product intuition, are extremely data-savvy and can marry the quant with the qual to deliver exceptional user experiences and business results. You thrive on cross-functional collaboration and are excited to partner with engineering, design, user research, marketing, customer support, revenue, data science, analytics, and the rest of our amazing PM team.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. Along with most Asanas, you’ll work from this office in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays. If you're interviewing for this role, your Talent Acquisition Partner will share more about the in-office requirements.

  • Partner closely with our Marketing and Customer Experience teams to understand how to inspire and support product activation, usage, and engagement via sign-up/account claim experiences, site personalization and content recommendations, and optimizing sales & support flows.
  • Create and drive a strategy that balances multiple priorities and use cases across customers and product teams.
  • Maximize clarity by bringing a data-driven mindset to setting goals and milestones.
  • Partner with engineering and cross-functional teams to execute roadmaps.
  • Mentor new PMs and share best practices with the product team.
  • Be a close partner to our Sales and GTM teams in connecting with customers to understand their priorities, pains, and perspectives.

About you

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, or equivalent. Experience in optimizing web-based user acquisition funnels, and co-creating scaled adoption and retention strategies with GTM partners.
  • You have experience with A/B test design and product-led-growth principles.
  • You are strategic. You inspire the company by creating bold, game-changing ideas and delivering them across a set of customer problems.
  • You get stuff done. Create, flex, and evangelize a roadmap. Thoughtfully break down projects into MVPs to maximize customer value with the least amount of work.
  • You center on the customer. You elicit non-obvious customer needs, and synthesize research to gain a deep understanding and narrow definition of a problem.
  • You have strong communication and collaboration. You co-create with teammates to deliver high-quality results. You speak and write with clarity.
  • You help to grow team Asana by mentoring others, creating great team morale, and sharing best practices.
  • You have a growth mindset. You lead with curiosity and are open to feedback.
