Specifically, we’re looking for a San Francisco-based Contracts Manager to join our commercial legal team. In this role you’ll work closely with individuals across the organization in support of various legal-related matters, with a primary focus on supporting the North American sales team. This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. Along with most Asanas, you’ll work from this office in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. What you’ll achieve

  • Work closely with our North American sales team to drive revenue as a business partner on enterprise-level SaaS engagements supporting our SMB, Seed to Land, and/or Mid-Market teams
  • Advising business stakeholders inline with company policies and procedures, taking into account the relevant legal issues and risks, agreement structures, and approval processes
  • Interface directly with the North American sales teams in providing ongoing sales enablement training, including guidance on commonly requested edits and non-standard terms and responses to general contractual questions.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including Subscriber Terms, NDAs, Order Forms, and a variety of other customer-driven requests.
  • Support and manage a variety of ad hoc projects within the team as they arise
  • Apply original, innovative thinking and continuous improvement to processes, products, systems, and services and manage change to better service customer needs

About you

  • B.A or B.S. required
  • 5+ years experience in contracts manager or similar in house commercial roles
  • Prior experience working in a technology company in a commercial legal department (experience with SaaS agreements preferred)
  • Ability to prioritize multiple negotiations and projects and work efficiently in a high-volume, impact-oriented environment
  • Communication and collaboration is at the forefront of how you operate, with a focus on making the complicated understandable; you have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • You have a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional groups (e.g., Finance, Operations, Enterprise Technology, Sales, and IT) to set objectives and produce meaningful results that have tangible business impact
  • You have experience with Google Suite, as well as with technology tools commonly used to support commercial legal processes including Ironclad or another CLM tool, Docusign, and Asana.

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $139,000 - $177,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
