We're building a world-class Revenue Accounting & Operations Team to drive our operational and financial goals while embodying our core values. This role sits within our finance team and offers the opportunity to shape the foundation of a rapidly growing company with a transformative vision.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve

  • Combine both technical and operational aspects of revenue management and execution with a priority on optimizing quote-to-cash and revenue accounting processes
  • Collaborate across teams such as Sales, Revenue Operations, Partner Operations, Professional Services, Finance Transformation, Legal, Product, and IT (FinTech) to build a solid scalable foundation for fast-growing Enterprise quote-to-cash processes and address revenue implications of new initiatives
  • Integrate yourself across Product, Sales, and Marketing to build deep knowledge of our products
  • Serve as the revenue accounting subject matter expert across cross-functional teams to provide guidance on SaaS, consumption models, and partner agreements
  • Ensure quote-to-cash processes are scalable and revenue recognition aligns with US GAAP, ASC 606, and company policies as the product portfolio expands
  • Update revenue recognition policies as needed for Product, Partnerships, and Professional services
  • Lead automation projects and streamline processes with Finance Transformation and cross-functional partners

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance operations and accounting, preferably in a high-growth, multinational environment with $100M+ annual revenue
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP revenue recognition rules, especially ASC 606
  • Experience with Netsuite, Zuora Billing, Zuora Revenue, and Salesforce CPQ preferred
  • Deep understanding of SaaS revenue accounting, consumption revenue, professional services, and partnership accounting
  • Big-4 or equivalent national accounting firm experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $190,000 - $256,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
