As the first Technical Program Manager in Infrastructure Engineering, you will play a key role in shaping the future evolution of our operations & execution. We're looking for a leader who is equally passionate about collaborating with internal and external customers as they are about driving complex, cross-team projects with ambitious deadlines. In this role, you will work closely with teams on specific projects, such as standardizing, upgrading, and consolidating our Observability tool. You'll also partner with cross-functional leaders to elevate our operations by ensuring our incident management processes & action items are being followed through, as well as identifying & driving improvements to meet the evolution of our business needs. This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve
- Support the planning & execution of cross-team projects by aligning requirements and dependencies, tracking progress, and proactively surfacing risks and blockers.
- Own and drive the improvement of the internal customer experience by understanding their pain points, prioritizing needs, and working with leaders and teams to address them effectively.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across engineering, product, legal, business, as well as customers, to enhance incident management, Asana’s reliability, and customer communications.
- Evolve our processes to maintain an increasing bar of compliance, addressing security and incident action items within SLA.
- Design & lead improvements to our operational processes to ensure we stay ahead in improving Asana’s reliability, cost efficiency, and operational toil.
About you
- Experience (7+ years) in project/program management, including leadership role driving complex strategic priorities and/or managing others.
- Strong program management skills, capable of managing a diverse range of priorities & cross-functional stakeholders.
- Track record of setting direction and leading large-scale initiatives that span multiple teams and functions.
- Experience in managing internal programs, comfortable with engaging with both internal & external customers.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical requirements to a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, capable of identifying and solving problems independently.
- Experience working with Infrastructure teams, incident management, and large migrations are preferred.

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $194,000 - $246,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
