The Product Engineering team builds features end-to-end, from designing our data models to implementing the subtle interaction behaviors that differentiate good software from great software. We work closely with UI designers and are supported by our infrastructure team. We aim to delight users with both large new features and smaller, daily product enhancements—thanks to our continuous deployment architecture. We want to create a superlative user experience, down to the smallest details.

We’re looking for an empathetic and technically experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead a new team in our Adoption Group focused on helping new users discover the full value of our collaborative software during their first moments in Asana. This team will move quickly, building zero-to-one product experiences that make it easier for users to explore, understand, and adopt the product — turning curiosity into long-term engagement.

You’ll work closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and Marketing to optimize experiences, build rapid prototypes, and scalable systems that remove friction and highlight “aha” moments for new users. You’ll guide engineers in balancing speed and craft, creating both delightful new user flows and reliable growth infrastructure.

This role is based in our Warsaw office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do, and your recruiter can share more about the in-office requirements.

Our employees in Poland are employed under a contract of employment.

What you’ll achieve:

  • Hire talented engineers and enable the team to scale smoothly
  • Manage and enable the growth of the talented engineers on this new Adoption team
  • Guide the articulation and execution of the team’s future roadmap and ensure the team’s work ties back into high-level business goals
  • Set the team up for success to own several technically challenging and critical projects
  • Coach engineers in their technical and professional development
  • Ensure a great, reliable experience for Asana users around the globe while simultaneously enabling a rapid pace of development and iteration
  • Work and learn alongside great peer managers with a strong sense of team, contributing to overall culture of Engineering and our growing Warsaw office

About You:

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, including 4+ years managing a technical team
  • Proven success working within growth engineering, activation funnels, or PLG (Product-Led growth)
  • Strong technical foundation (e.g., full-stack web development, scalable APIs, etc) and excited to partner with Design and Product on both large new features and daily, small product enhancements.
  • Focused on maximizing impact for yourself, your team, and Asana as a whole
  • Equipped with the intelligence, empathy, integrity, and technical chops required to quickly earn the trust of a technically astute team
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; you enjoy figuring out what needs to be done—and then doing it
  • Demonstrated curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.

At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply.

What we’ll offer:

  • Generous, transparent and fair compensation system
  • Contract of Employment (and the option of 50% tax deductible costs for author’s rights usage in respect of applicable roles )
  • Health insurance with dental and travel coverage (Lux Med)
  • Meals reimbursement on the days that you work from the office
  • Career growth budget
  • Home office setup budget
  • Gym/Fitness reimbursement
  • Fertility healthcare and family-forming support with Carrot
  • Mental Health Support in Modern Health
  • Group life insurance
  • MacBooks with all necessary accessories

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between 39,583 - 50,417 PLN gross per month (subject to all taxes and necessary deductions). The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
