Job Summary:
Blavity Inc. seeks an Executive Assistant who will provide executive-level project management and administrative support to the SVP of Afrotech & Live Events. This role will manage the SVP's daily workflow, prioritize various projects, and support broader initiatives across the Live Events organization.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, anticipating the SVP and team's needs with excellent judgment. They must have strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills to balance multiple priorities. Extreme organization and attention to detail are critical. This role will report directly to the SVP, AfroTech & Live Events and will support the broader goals of the Live Events organization as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish effective processes and systems, track deadlines, and follow up on executive approvals
  • Draft correspondence, agenda items, reports, presentations, and other documents for the SVP in a proactive manner
  • Manage all meetings for the SVP, including preparation, detailed note taking, disseminating action items and summaries, and tracking completion of meeting outcomes
  • Independently research issues and provide data-driven recommendations to support special planning projects
  • Take full ownership from project inception through completion, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within scope
  • Capture key contact information and relationship details
  • Coordinate all Live Events hosted internal events to include leadership retreats and executive team meetings
  • Manage hiring process for Live Events organization open roles
  • Develop project plans, define milestones, and coordinate resources
  • Monitor the progress of projects to identify and mitigate potential risks and ensure successful execution
  • Communicate project updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree
  • Required Experience:
    • 2+ years supporting a senior-level executive at a high-growth company or start-up
  • Preferred Experience:
    • Experience with the Airtable platform
    • Fluent in Asana and/or comparable project management suite
  • Technologies:
    • Advanced proficiency in Google Suite
  • Additional Qualifications:
    • Extraordinarily organized with high attention to detail
    • Demonstrated written communication and verbal presentation skills, with an ability to synthesize and express concepts efficiently and effectively to a wide range of audiences
    • Ability to thrive in an accelerated environment, think creatively, and produce innovative solutions
    • Demonstrated success collaborating with internal and external teams
    • A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture

Details:

  • This is a fully remote, U.S.- based role. Occasional travel may be required.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Candidates must be available to work at least 50% in alignment with the Pacific Time Zone.
  • The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000.
