The Opportunity:
We have a strong partnership with East Cleveland Schools and we are looking for someone who can flex their office management skills! This opportunity could be a single day assignment where you are filling in, so thinking on your feet and the ability to pivot and move quickly is key. This opportunity could also turn into a multi day assignment where you could be at the same school for several days. In sum, this opportunity would be great for an office manager who has some extra time, excel gurus, event planners, or someone that is highly organized. If this is you APPLY TODAY! What You’ll Do
- Performs front office duties as directed.
- Performs varied administrative and confidential duties as directed.
- Exhibits tact and diplomacy with the community, the district, and outside agencies.
- Maintains control over incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Sorts mail delivered to the office and routes it to the proper divisions.
- Data entry and reporting
- Oversee incoming calls and visitors to the office, and schedule management.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Physical Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be proficient in technical skills such as typing, filing and dictation.
- Must be proficient on the computer.
- Experience with word processing and spreadsheets-preferred.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Knowledge of budgets and ability to monitor budget processes.
- Ability to be flexible, self-directed, and motivated.
- Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with staff and students.
Who You Are:
- An individual with a genuine enthusiasm for working alongside children and youth along with alignment to our mission of supporting workers, students, and schools while promoting academic success.
- Related work administrative/clerical experience.
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to public and charter schools within the applicant region, required.
- Ability to quickly adapt to varying school environments and perform independently
- Dependability and punctuality are vital for fulfilling on-demand job opportunities efficiently.
- Prior to working with students, you will need to pass a background check, livescan and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances. Rest assured, we will guide you through the process!
Clearance Requirements: In order to provide a safe environment for the students we support, we do comply with clearance checks. The background check in Ohio can take up to 30 days to return, so it is best to apply to today to ensure you are cleared and ready to support our schools in need in August!
Please note, assignments may require the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
