Who We Are:

BrightBee is an innovative staffing partner that connects great people with schools and nonprofits. We believe every role matters—whether in the classroom, the front office, or behind the scenes. Our mission is to help schools succeed while giving workers the tools and support they need to grow their careers.

How BrightBee Works:

When you join BrightBee, you’ll work as a contractor—taking short-term jobs at nearby schools and nonprofits. Using the BrightBee app, you can pick assignments that fit your skills, interests, and schedule. You’re always in control—accept the jobs that work for you, skip the ones that don’t.

We Are Looking For:

Right now, we have an immediate need for several Instructional Technology Coaches to support schools in the Bronx and Manhattan during the school day at Lirvana.

We’re seeking candidates who are:

  • Excited about working in education and supporting teachers and students.

  • Highly comfortable with technology and digital tools.

  • Experienced in helping others troubleshoot or learn tech (experience in customer-facing tech support roles—like the Apple Store—is a big plus!).

  • Bonus points if you’ve worked with K–12 platforms like Clever, Google Classroom, or Microsoft Teams for Education.

A Day in the Life of a BrightBee Tech Coach:

Each day, you’ll be placed in a local school to help staff and students make the most of their technology. That could mean:

  • Guiding teachers on how to use common learning platforms.

  • Helping students log in or troubleshoot devices.

  • Supporting schools in integrating digital tools into daily instruction.

  • Jumping in to assist wherever tech is slowing down learning.

Every day will be a little different, but you’ll always be helping schools get the most out of their technology while making a real impact in your community.

Must Haves:

  • High school diploma or GED required (college coursework or degree preferred).

  • Strong digital literacy skills—comfortable navigating apps, devices, and platforms.

  • Interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with teachers, staff, and students.

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and ready to step into new challenges.

  • Comfortable working in diverse school communities.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in education or working with K–12 schools.

  • Background in customer-facing tech support or training.

  • Familiarity with K–12 education platforms (Clever, Google Classroom, etc.).

Why Join BrightBee:

  • Competitive pay with opportunities to increase your rate (we’ll share our pay multipliers during your interview).

  • Chance to make a difference in schools and communities across New York City.

  • Pathways to grow your career in education and technology.

Please note, assignments may require the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
