At BuildCasa we are focused on putting a dent in the housing supply shortage which is one of the biggest challenges we face in America today. Aside from the impacts on climate and inequality, housing is the biggest driver of the inflation holding back our economy with both rents and house prices up 20% YOY. In the same way OpenDoor created off market liquidity for homeowners with homes they wanted to sell, BuildCasa is creating off market liquidity for homeowners looking to maximize the value of underutilized lot space. We are able to productize the process for splitting lots and pre-permitting duplex designs which we then sell to developers to enable the construction of 100K new housing units by 2030.
