About the Role:

CodeHS is looking to hire an Operations Specialist in Chicago, IL to help work on internal company operations including accounts receivable, shipping, hiring, onboarding, operations, and office management. If you like making things go, improving systems behind the scenes and working on a variety of tasks and projects, this is the job for you. While this work is not directly educational, this enables the educational mission of CodeHS.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with other team members in CodeHS on operations
  • Coordinate with candidates and hiring managers to ensure an efficient and effective hiring process
  • Coordinate onboarding for new team members
  • Shipping materials for conferences and to customers and team members
  • Assist with travel coordination for conferences and company events
  • Managing Chicago office setup, supplies, and operations
  • Help with company event planning, budgets, and purchases
  • Help maintain organized internal systems, reporting, etc.
  • Answer internal questions on policies and procedures
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, corresponding with customers and payments
  • Manage billing calls, purchase orders, and invoices
  • Help with other internal operations projects as needed - Operations touches many areas of the business so there will be a lot of variation in the day to day work

Requirements:

  • Worked in a small team
  • Ability to adapt flexibly to changing tasks and requirements
  • Work well independently and autonomously, a self-starter
  • Works well in teams
  • Professional and clear communication
  • Worked with sensitive information (such as HR, accounting, or similar)
  • Extremely organized and strong attention to detail
  • Interest and ability to work across varied projects and tasks
  • Passionate about helping students and schools
  • Desire to make a big impact

Location:
Full Office - this role is a 5 days a week office role in the CodeHS Chicago Office in River North.

Compensation:
$60,000-$75,000 annual salary
