Job Description


​A bit about this role:

The Compliance Medicare Marketing Manager will:

  • Support the seamless, on time delivery of error-free marketing communications across all channels and work streams, including the development and review of CMS-required regulatory documents in preparation for each Annual Enrollment Period (AEP).

  • Develop, implement and execute marketing compliance program efforts including oversight, monitoring and adherence to relevant federal and state laws, and contract standards.

  • Be responsible for ongoing process improvement work to continually improve the state of compliance of the Marketing team; this will involve reviewing and understanding the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines and Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) to provide concise, actionable summaries and training.

  • Continually audit materials and processes to comply with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regular analysis of monthly internal key performance indicators.

Required skills and experience:

  • 5-7+ years' experience in a Medicare Advantage marketing, sales, or compliance role. *Unfortunately, candidates without a proven track record in Medicare Advantage will not be considered.

  • Maintains working knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, regulations, CMS policy guidance, CFR, and contract standards and conducts business specific analysis, prepares and communicates business impacts summarizing requirements and recommended actions.

  • Prior compliance experience supporting the development of materials in a highly-regulated environment required. Must be comfortable with technology and able to quickly learn new platforms.

  • Must be able to work collaboratively within Marketing and with cross-functional teams such as Corporate Compliance, Product, Sales, and other business leaders on an ongoing basis.

  • Must be able to create dashboards, scorecards and tools to evaluate compliance performance.

  • Must thrive in a highly-regulated, highly collaborative, high-speed environment; comfortable making decisions based on incomplete information.

  • Must have experience with a national carrier in the health insurance space.

Desired skills and experience:

  • Experience using data to monitor and audit processes, identify trends and risks, and develop plans to continuously improve performance through training and education.

  • Demonstrated ability to distill complex issues into concise, actionable summaries using strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to continue to learn and stay current on Medicare initiatives in the marketplace and interpret them into actionable guidelines for training and education.

  • Experience working in the Health Plan Management System (HPMS) strongly preferred.

Your responsibilities and impact will include:

  • Supporting the development and review of marketing materials and CMS-required regulatory documents with a compliance lens. This includes pieces for prospects, members, brokers, and providers, as well as regulatory materials based on CMS model documents.

  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of SOPs, policies/procedures, and production workflows that solve for uber-compliant, agile, effective and personalized marketing campaigns.

  • Conducting regular monitoring, auditing, training activities, and analyzing results to develop best practices and efficiencies in the oversight program to improve department performance on key metrics.

  • Helping serve as liaison between Marketing, Compliance, and other key functions to progress important projects and initiatives in a compliant manner.


Salary range: $76,000 - $141,000 annually

Our ranges are purposefully broad to allow for growth within the role over time. Once the interview process begins, your talent partner will provide additional information on the compensation for the role, along with additional information on our total rewards package. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
