Role Overview:

As a Certified Diabetes Care and Educator Specialist (CDCES) / Registered Dietitian, you will collaborate with our clinical delivery team to provide high-quality care and education to users managing diabetes. You will play a key role in developing and delivering a personalized, evidence-based diabetes self-management education (DSMES) and medical nutrition therapy (MNT) program through the eddii platform. You will help pediatric and adult users optimize their health by offering engaging, actionable strategies tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the clinical and product teams to develop personalized care plans and coordinate care delivery.
• Advice on patient-centered DSMES and MNT methods to drive effectiveness of eddii’s diabetes management programs.
• Identify, assess, and address user goals and barriers in improving their health and managing diabetes-related conditions.
• Educate users on managing acute and chronic diabetes complications, including carbohydrate counting, glucose monitoring, weight management, lipid and hypertension control, and the use of CGMs and insulin pumps.
• Review user health data and food logs to provide personalized feedback and adjust care plans as needed.
• Review and further develop eddii’s digital education program that aim to motivate users to complete self-thought diabetes management trainings
• Utilize the Nutrition Care Process to assess, diagnose, and intervene, while monitoring users' progress and outcomes through the eddii platform.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and technology teams to enhance user experiences and outcomes on the platform.
• Ensure eddii’s programs are compliant with National Standards of DSMES, regulatory guidelines, and accrediting agencies.

Required Qualifications:

• BS/BA in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a relevant field.
• Two or more years of clinical experience working with diabetes management.
• Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential or Board Certified-Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) credential.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, with successful completion of a dietetic internship or other approved experience.
• Maintenance of RD status through continuing professional education (75 units every 5 years).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with users of diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field, or a specialty certification (e.g., Pediatrics, Renal, etc.).
• Experience working within an American Diabetes Association-recognized education program.
• Familiarity with gamified health platforms and virtual care delivery.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
