About the Role
The Accounting Analyst is responsible for accurately handling day-to-day accounting processes and financial information, including monthly and annual close processes. You will work with teams across the company to help manage the flow of documents and information and assist with reporting to the management. The role will help us to implement and manage accounting best practices alongside preparing financial information to various stakeholders to ensure efficiency, reliability, and timely processing of monthly and weekly reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the completion of month-end and year-end close of financial accounts, in accordance with the close schedule and deadlines
- Prepare month-end closing journal entries including accruals, prepaids, revenue, and cash entries.
- Review various general ledger accounts and conduct account reconciliations, including investigating fluctuations to understand the movement of balances.
- Collaborate with department managers on expenses, budget, and overall spending.
- Manage our accounts payable process by collaborating with our external AP team and liaising with our internal stakeholders
- Support operational finance processes such as expense reimbursements, corporate credit card accounts, and banking transactions
- Assist with the external audits by providing supporting schedules and documentation as requested.
- Manage various financial reports, special department-specific projects, and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field.
- 1+ years of experience with a blend of public accounting/audit and industry accounting experience is a plus
- Prior experience in a growing operational startup is a plus
- Experience with Netsuite, Excel, and Tableau (or similar) is a plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
