About the Work:
We are looking for a dedicated Agency Administrator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the entire operation of the agency, including service delivery, definition of policies and procedures, marketing, hiring, direction and supervision of employees, financial management, and long and short term planning. Our Agency Administrator will ensure that the agency is in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and acts as a liaison between the governing body, staff members, and the community. This individual will also ensure staff is appropriately qualified and familiar with laws and agency policies.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, statutes, regulations, licensure and safety requirements for the delivery of services.
- Have authority for the management of the business affairs and the overall operation of the agency.
- Familiarize all employees as well as providers through contractual purchase of services with state and federal laws and the rules of the Virginia Department of Health and make copies available for their use
- Maintain certification, registration or licensure, as mandated by any state or local government body or board, including ensuring the completion, maintenance and submission of such reports and records as required by the Virginia Department of Health.
- Delegation of the maintenance of appropriate financial records, personnel records, administrative records, client records, and all agency policies and procedures, including procedures for the safe keeping, storage and disposal of such documents.
- Ensure agency policies and procedures and industry standards and regulations are followed including audit preparation and management.
- Delegate the completion, maintenance and submission of reports and records as required by the Department of Health to appropriate teams
- Liaise with community resources and other agencies as needed.
About you:
Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Must hold a Virginia RN license or a multi-state compact license which allows you to practice in Virginia
- Have evidence of at least one year of training and experience in direct health care service delivery with at least one year within the last five years of supervisory or administrative management experience in home health care or a related health program
- Knowledge of home care standards of practice and scope of practice, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client and family care.
- Knowledge of the local market and how Honor can best bring on and retain the best caregivers in the region.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing client and personal care services, including needs determinants, meeting quality standards and evaluation of client satisfaction
- Knowledge of clerical procedures such as maintaining records and completing forms
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend English
- Have reliable transportation and current auto liability insurance
- Must pass records check from Virginia State Police
- Must reside in Newport News, VA Area
- Willing and able to commute to Newport News, VA and surrounding areas on a weekly basis
- Flexibility and availability to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends
- Comfortable with technology and able to learn new tools and systems. Has experience using Google suite of tools (Sheets, Doc, Slides, email, and Calendar)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrate proven decision making skills
- Able to facilitate training sessions and administer competency evaluations
- Able to monitor and assess employees, clients and effectiveness of service
- Able to identify problems and determine effective solutions
Our range reflects the hiring range for this position. We use national average to determine pay as we are a remote first company. Individual pay is based on a number of factors including qualifications, skills, experience, education, and training.
Base pay is just a part of our total rewards program. Honor offers equity and 401K with up to a 4% match. We provide medical, dental and vision coverage including zero cost plans for employees. Honor is remote friendly! We're hiring across the U.S., with an entirely virtual interview and onboarding process. Most of our positions are remote/work from home and do not require permanent relocation.
