Kai XR creates safe pathways to the Metaverse for students.

Our mission is to use Metaverse technologies to expose students to global educational opportunities so they can be prepared for a highly technical future. We do so by creating educator tools that promote 21st-century learning skills. These tools include kid-friendly content, lesson plans, Metaverse makerspaces, professional development, and more. We aim to give 1M kids access to Metaverse technologies by 2030.

By 2024 the United States is expected to have a 50% shortage of tech graduates. Meanwhile, the digital divide continues to grow wider each day as students in underserved communities lack access to basic tech such as laptops and Wi-Fi.

Kai XR’s mixed reality SaaS platform serves as an entry point to emerging tech for students. We pique children’s interest into emerging tech by using our 360˚ field trips where they can explore the world while learning new, in-demand tech skills. Our educational resources offer educators, parents, & students an accessible path to become early adopters of virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality.

The Kai XR team is looking for a mission-aligned driven individual to anchor and building solid marketing and communications foundations. Our ideal candidate will combine creative, technical, problem-solving, and leadership skills to drive revenue growth, enhance brand positioning, and promote customer engagement to help our company grow. As Kai XR’s first marcom hire, this person will have the opportunity to shape and scale our goals and processes. As the sixth full-time employee, this role is a highly collaborative role working in sync with sales, product, and customer success.

  • Identify, develop, and execute strategies to engage and acquire new customer segments
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute market research efforts and translate results into growth marketing strategies.
  • Strategize and execute communication efforts among, email, blog, influencer, website, and social media channels, specifically customer stories, case studies, and product.
  • Drive revenue growth by creating and executing ad campaigns while optimizing SEO across multiple channels to move prospects and customers down the sales funnel.
  • Own distribution channels, inbound & outbound demand generation, and supporting sales efforts. You will be responsible for email and website copy updates, our marketing tech stack, a/b testing, marketing analytics and ad budgets.
  • Maintain relationships with press/media about the company, product, team, and brand.
  • Work well with creatives to establish and maintain brand standards for the company to create digital, print, and video assets that align with the brand and support business goals.
  • Collaborate with Kai XR’s design team to create innovative design assets such as ads, graphics, videos, and digital campaigns.
  • Build branding strategic partnerships for collaboration opportunities

What will help you succeed:

  • Progressive marketing experience with demonstrated success of growing early stage companies
  • Experience with Education marketing (K-12 schools, parents, boards of education, homeschool educators, STEAM/STEM)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience storytelling for innovative and diverse companies
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Experience with tech/software used to collect and analyze data
  • Proficiency in Mailchimp, Hubspot
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and at building & presenting engaging decks via Google Slides

Special Preference given to candidates with:

  • 1-3 years of startup experience
  • Market research experience
  • Social listening knowledge
  • Experience managing diverse campaigns and clients
  • Experience creating light graphic design templates (Ex, Canva)
  • Video production experience

What You’ll Get

  • The salary range for this position is $60,000-$95,000, based on experience
