Job Title: Chief of Staff to the Founder & CEO

Location: Remote with monthly travel to CA, Bay Area preferred

Role Overview

The Chief of Staff to the Founder & CEO is a dynamic, multifaceted role for an exceptional leader with operational expertise, organizational acumen, and an entrepreneurial spirit. This position requires the ability to think strategically while also executing on key initiatives, including task-based sales outreach, project management, and operational leadership.

As the trusted right hand to Disney Petit, you’ll enable her to focus on high-priority initiatives while ensuring operational excellence across the company. This role spans everything from overseeing task-based outreach to retail prospects and nonprofit partners, to developing efficient workflows, to stepping into meetings or representing LiquiDonate externally when needed.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role requiring adaptability, creativity, and a passion for sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Growth Support

  • Conduct task-based sales outreach, including prospecting retail partners and managing follow-ups to secure meetings or partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the CEO on sales materials, presentations, and talking points for prospective retail and nonprofit partners.
  • Track and analyze sales activity metrics to improve outreach strategies.
  • Support the CEO in high-priority sales meetings, occasionally stepping in to represent LiquiDonate when needed.

Operational & Strategic Leadership

  • Manage and prioritize the CEO’s time, responsibilities, and workflow to ensure focus on high-impact activities.
  • Develop and maintain efficient operational systems to streamline processes across the organization.
  • Track KPIs and project deadlines, holding stakeholders accountable for deliverables.
  • Oversee special projects or initiatives, including strategic planning and cross-functional collaborations.

Financial & Analytical Support

  • Provide financial oversight, including budgeting and basic forecasting to ensure operational health.
  • Collaborate on fundraising materials, including investor decks and reports.
  • Deliver actionable insights from performance metrics to inform business decisions.

Leadership & Representation

  • Act as a trusted advisor and sounding board for the CEO, offering operational and organizational counsel.
  • Represent the CEO in internal and external meetings, maintaining professionalism and authority.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment between teams and external stakeholders.

Adaptability & Execution

  • Seamlessly switch between strategic projects, administrative tasks, and high-profile engagements.
  • Tackle all tasks, big or small, with a focus on enabling the CEO and advancing LiquiDonate’s mission.
  • File paperwork, manage logistics, and handle ad hoc requests to ensure smooth operations.

Culture & Team Building

  • Support a high-performance, mission-aligned culture within the organization.
  • Build trust across the team by being approachable, adaptable, and dependable.
  • Mentor team members and encourage professional growth.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 6+ years in roles like Chief of Staff, Director of Operations, or Business Development Lead.
  • Proven experience supporting sales efforts, project management, or operational initiatives in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with experience representing senior leaders externally.

Skills & Competencies

  • Operational Expertise: Skilled in managing complex workflows and driving organizational efficiency.
  • Sales Acumen: Experience in task-based sales outreach, lead generation, and relationship-building with partners.
  • High EQ & Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the CEO effectively.
  • Financial Literacy: Ability to create and interpret budgets, reports, and basic financial models.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities shift rapidly.
  • Work Ethic: Comfortable managing a broad scope of responsibilities and ensuring no detail is overlooked.

Compensation: $80,000 per year plus equity, 100% employer-paid health insurance premium option for the employee, 50% paid dental and vision insurance premiums for the employee, 24 hours of paid volunteer time per year, unlimited PTO, standard vacation days, professional development opportunities, and a flexible work environment.
