We are looking for a super friendly and well organized Clinic Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, responsible for managing appointments, handling inquiries, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and warm manner. Someone who enjoys being around people and babies.
- Excellent working knowledge and experience in processing insurance payments for patients
- Answer incoming calls, handle inquiries, and redirect calls to appropriate personnel.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using the clinic’s scheduling software.
- Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, including collecting and verifying insurance information, processing payments, and issuing receipts.
- Maintain patient records by updating personal information, filing documents, and ensuring confidentiality.
- Coordinate with healthcare staff to ensure efficient patient flow and minimize wait times.
- Handle billing inquiries and assist patients with completing necessary forms.
- Monitor and order clinic supplies, ensuring that the clinic remains clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Handle data entry, maintain appointment logs, and prepare daily reports.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as copying and scanning documents.
- Address patient concerns or escalate issues to the appropriate department when necessary.
Qualifications
- University Degree; additional education in office administration or healthcare management is a plus.
- Proven experience as a receptionist, front desk representative, or similar role in a healthcare setting.
- Proficient in using computer software, including Gmail Suite. Knowledge in handling electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance procedures.
