With a fast‑growing team and a strong culture already in place, we are looking for a Medical Officer, located in Nairobi.

What we are looking for

This role is for a medical officer who is passionate about delivering high-quality, respectful maternity care, values multidisciplinary teamwork, and is excited to practise in a modern, team-based, and tech-enabled care environment. In addition to patient care, you will contribute to the ongoing improvement of obstetric pathways and models of care.

What you will do

Clinical Care

  • Support during antenatal and postnatal outpatient clinics
  • Manage intrapartum care and support during deliveries
  • Collaborating closely with obstetricians, nurses, paediatricians, and the wider Malaica team

Quality improvement and clinical development

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical pathways and care models
  • Engage with data, digital tools, and structured workflows to improve patient outcomes
  • Support a learning culture within the clinical team

Who you are

  • Qualified Medical Officer with a Bachelors degree in Medicine and Surgery from a recognized and accredited University
  • Clinically Confident: Experience managing ANC/PNC patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Tech-savvy: Open to using digital tools, data, and structured workflows to improve care
  • Team Oriented: A team player aligned with Malaica’s values: ambitious, kind and transparent
  • Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) certification is an added advantage.

What success looks like (6–12 months)

  • Mothers consistently receive safe, respectful, and high-quality care
  • Strong collaboration across the multidisciplinary clinical team
  • Clinical pathways are followed, refined, and improved over time
  • Patients feel supported and confident throughout their pregnancy journey
