About the Role

We are looking for a Perinatal Nurse Practitioner to join our new collaborative perinatal practice. This job is fully remote and requires an active NY license or a willingness and ability to obtain one. We’re searching for an individual who has obstetrics and gynecology experience, is data-driven, thoughtful and passionate about delivering patient-centric care, and excited to join a dynamic and innovative team. This teammate will be integral in connecting with our patients through our portal and over the phone to provide medical guidance and answer questions.

By fielding clinical questions from patients, sharing laboratory and imaging results, provider referrals and prescriptions, and ensuring continuity of care in between scheduled visits in partnership with our clinical leadership team, this teammate will play a role that is integral to our collaborative care approach.

This is a full-time contract role with the possibility to convert to a full-time position. The base annual salary range is $95,000-$115,000.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work within the scope of your licensure to support patients

- Communicate with current patients via chat and/or phone to provide education, respond to inbound clinical questions, and discuss abnormal laboratory and/or imaging results

- Collaborate with other clinicians and staff members to ensure continuity of care of patients

- Manage external referrals that require clinical oversight

- Evaluate and interpret patient data in order to implement appropriate intervention, create a care plan, and provide care coordination

- Order, conduct, supervise, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests

- Send prescriptions for medicines and services as medically indicated

- Track, evaluate and interpret patient data in order to implement appropriate intervention, create a care plan, and provide care coordination

- Tenaciously monitor patient data & support patient needs

- Support our patients through the process of transferring care to and from our practice

- Assess where Oula could develop more patient-facing content based on interactions with patients

- Partner cross functionally with other teams at Oula

- Lead our team of nurses in providing remote support to Oula patients

- Determine ways we can improve Oula’s technology to better support our patients and improve clinician workflows

- Participate in staff and organizational meetings as requested for care coordination and development of policies and procedures

- Maintain compliance with all organizational policies and procedures

- Perform additional relevant duties as requested by supervisor/management

About You:

- Passionate about improving perinatal care through a combination of clinical care, technology, patient empowerment and education

- Passionate about data and tenacious about keeping it clean & up-to-date

- A strong listener and communicator with the ability to connect with a wide variety of audiences and respond to a wide variety of needs

- Organized as it relates to daily tasks and as well as an ability to work towards longer term goals and projects

- Flexible in your approach and ability to adapt to changing circumstances

- Comfortable working across distance and maintaining east coast hours regardless of location

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

- Active and unrestricted New York State Nurse Practitioner License (or a willingness and ability to obtain one)

- Two or more years experience as a Ob/GYN Nurse Practitioner in the field of obstetrics and gynecology / women’s health

- An advanced degree, either an MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) or DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice) from an accredited nursing program

- Board certification from The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)

- Experience providing and/or coordinating perinatal care

- Strong computer skills and familiarity with EMRs

- Ability to work on a strong team of professionals in a culturally diverse environment

- Spanish or other non English language proficiency is considered a bonus

Exact compensation inclusive of salary and any bonuses is determined based on a number of factors including experience and skill level, location, and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process. $95,000$120,000 USD
