Job Description
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution of our next-generation money movement platform. You’ll own the systems that power how money flows through our ecosystem with a focus on settlement, funding orchestration, and building redundancy to allow the platform to move money more intelligently and reliably.
In this role, you’ll be at the center of our financial infrastructure, working across product, engineering, compliance, and accounting teams to build scalable, reliable payment systems. You’ll drive execution across multiple payment rails and funding sources, ensuring operational accuracy, compliance, and performance at scale.
We’re seeking someone with deep experience in the payments ecosystem, particularly in bill pay, money movement, financial reconciliation, funding mechanics, settlement cycles, and payout operations. You should have a strong understanding of how different funding types operate, including bank debits (ACH, RTP, wires), card funding, digital wallets, and alternative funding methods.
You should be equally comfortable diving into backend systems, managing cross-functional roadmaps, and defining strategic product direction. This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape the future of how we move, settle, distribute, and track money, and unlock new capabilities for the business as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end strategy for settlement and payout ledgering systems, ensuring all funds movement is accurately recorded, reconciled, and attributed across internal platforms, supporting a broad range of inbound funding methods and outbound settlement channels.
- Define and prioritize product requirements that directly impact how money settles and is paid out, including settlement timing, transaction visibility, reconciliation workflows, exception/error handling, and payout processing.
- Lead product capabilities that enable diverse funding methods, including ACH debits and credits, card-based transactions, digital wallets, real-time payment networks, and emerging instant payout rails.
- Communicate and maintain the settlement & payouts roadmap across agile teams and stakeholders, writing clear user stories and technical requirements to guide implementation across both legacy systems and new platform initiatives.
- Own backlog organization and prioritization in partnership with Engineering leadership, ensuring capacity planning aligns with business needs, regulatory timelines, and operational risk, while leading backlog refinement, grooming, and sprint planning to give teams the clarity and structure needed to deliver reliable settlement and disbursement functionality.
- Serve as the SME on settlement flows, funding mechanics, and payout infrastructure, translating complex payment behaviors into actionable product requirements by collaborating closely with product, engineering, operations, accounting, and compliance teams.
- Work cross-functionally to design and deliver products that optimize the full money movement lifecycle from origination to processing, through settlement, and ultimately to customer or partner payouts.
- Conduct market research and monitor evolving trends, regulations, and innovations across payment networks, settlement technologies, and payout methods to inform long-term product strategy.
- Partner with go-to-market teams to support rollout of new settlement and payout capabilities, ensuring clear documentation, internal training, and effective product positioning.
