Role Overview
A Forward Deployed Software Engineer believes in the power of empowering communities through software. If you’re eager to leverage tech for social good and bridge the gap between communities and technology, this role might be your calling. Partnering with diverse stakeholders, you will be instrumental in implementing our products into a myriad of environments and extending them to new use cases. If you possess a knack for unraveling technical intricacies and rebuilding software into more accessible solutions, you're the person we're hoping to welcome to our team.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with small teams in the complete execution of high-stakes projects in close proximity with our customers, doing anything needed to ensure project success and team efficiency.

  • Engage in architectural discussions with fellow engineers, shaping the technical foundation of projects and influencing their scalability, performance, and overall success.

  • Develop custom applications, where the quality and innovation of your coding contribute to our product's uniqueness, success, and real-world impact.

  • Interact with customer leadership and establish strategies for your team, impacting customer satisfaction and the strategic direction of projects and teams.

What Will Enable You:

  • At least 5 years of experience in software engineering at a product-driven company, coupled with keen interpersonal awareness and enthusiasm for customer engagement. You thrive on being in close proximity to the problems your software is meant to solve.

  • Completed undergraduate studies in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C++. If you excel in other languages, we recognize and value that expertise.

  • Practical knowledge of database technologies, including SQL (like PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL systems (like MongoDB, Cassandra).

  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with cloud platforms, with emphasis on Google Cloud, and an understanding of tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with version control tools and experience or interest in CI/CD pipelines, including but not limited to tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI.
