What we're looking for
As part of Puzzle, you will help design and build a next generation financial and accounting data platform. We will be ingesting large amounts of data from disparate sources, transforming them, organizing them, and automatically turning them into easily understandable company financials.
We want to be as real-time as possible, event-driven, and decoupled. Redundant, resistant and secure. And accuracy is key. The Staff Engineer will provide technical leadership and guidance to provide Puzzle with highly available and scalable platform services. This includes system analysis, design, troubleshooting, and integration of new products and developing tools and strategies to improve existing systems. This is a hands-on role where you will be building everything from small features to large systems as we keep improving our platform.
Qualified candidates will help architect, design, productize and build key parts of our financial system
What you'll do
Architect, implement and support infrastructure to deliver systems and services with high availability and reliability.
Perform cross-functional troubleshooting of complex systems
A system level architect who understands how things fit together and interact with each other.
A proven ability to work with product teams and partners to translate requirements into well-defined technical implementations, as well as the ability to define
A keen eye for potential optimizations and/or enhancements to our services
Experienced programmer going from design to implementation
Define technical solutions for important business problems and understand the context in which large company decisions are made
A passion for mentoring, learning, and adapting to a very dynamic and fast paced environment
Required Qualifications:
BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant work experience
9+ years of software engineering experience
Past experience in system design, data applications and scale
Strong experience with Databases design (SQL, NoSQL) and analytics
Strong analytical and programming skills
Great communication, collaboration skills and a strong teamwork ethic with both technical and non-technical audiences
