What We’re Looking For:

Are you ready to disrupt and reshape the future of accounting and financial intelligence? We are looking for a proven growth leader to drive new user acquisition and revenue. Puzzle is on a mission to give transformative companies unprecedented control of their financials, and this role is critical on the path to getting us there. From day one, you’ll get the tailwind of strong organic growth, but have a blank slate to define your own strategy from the ground up- reporting directly to the CEO.

This role is perfect for a hands-on leader who can get creative with limited resources and is passionate about building marketing and growth strategies from scratch. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of analytics, growth marketing strategies, and a track record of driving customer acquisition and revenue. We are looking for someone versatile, who can start off wearing multiple hats with working knowledge across performance, lifecycle, and demand generation.

This is your chance to lead growth at a well-funded startup led by an experienced fintech founder. We are remote-first — anywhere in the US or Canada works for us.

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive growth plan that will yield consistent and confident user growth. Including running smart experiments to discover new channels and potential step changes.

  • Budget Management: Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources while maintaining LTV/CAC thresholds.

  • Demand and Lead Generation: Deploy innovative, and integrated campaigns, optimizing our marketing funnel for growth at every step of the customer journey. Collaborate with sales to ramp-up the number of successful leads in pipeline.

  • Revenue Ownership: Own revenue numbers: set strong metrics to maximize revenue starting from discovery all the way through purchase and expansion.

  • Performance Analysis: Leverage data to understand our market, competition, and user behavior; test channels, customer profiles, and messaging to pivot as needed and meet aggressive targets.

  • Brand Development: Ensure our brand messaging is consistent and powerful across all platforms and resonates with our target audience. Come with examples where you made polish a priority.

  • Reporting and Communication: Regularly report on growth initiatives and performance to the executive team and the broader company, ensuring transparency and alignment in a format that’s accessible, transparent, and actionable.

  • Team Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing growth marketing team, fostering a culture of ambition, accountability, and continuous learning.


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; an MBA is a plus.

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a growth marketing role, preferably in a fast growing startup or fintech environment.

  • Experience building a growth function from scratch, or learning directly from a leader who did the same, preparing you for your own shot.

  • Proven track record of scaling a user base and achieving substantial revenue growth.

  • Strong analytical skills, experience pioneering dashboards and metrics-based meetings, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable strategies.

  • Experience managing a team and fostering a collaborative work environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You’ll regularly interface with executives, customers, and board members.

  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement. Constantly striving to stay at the forefront of what’s next in a time of rapid change.

  • Creative thinker with a hacker mindset who doesn’t want to run the same old playbook, but rather figure out how to break new ground fast.
