About the Role

As the first Technical Curriculum Manager at Thalamus, you will join the Product team and report to the Director of Product Management. This is a high-impact role focused on building the training materials that enable our customers to seamlessly leverage our products to match physicians to medical residency and fellowship programs, and the training systems that enable our team to deeply understand our products and deliver a Raving Fans experience. You will own the strategy and execution of external-facing training content, including product documentation, user guides, and knowledge base resources, ensuring a seamless experience for customers. Additionally, you will develop, deliver, and continuously improve technical training programs that onboard and upskill Thalamus team members across product, success, engineering, and new hires. Your work will be pivotal in ensuring our teams are confident, competent, and customer-obsessed.

What You Will Achieve

  • Design and Deliver External-Facing Training Materials and Knowledge Resources. Own the strategy, development, and maintenance of external-facing product documentation, user guides, training materials, and knowledge base articles. Ensure a seamless and scalable experience for customers.

  • Design and Deliver Scalable Technical Learning Programs. Develop and implement comprehensive technical training curricula—including instructor-led sessions, e-learning modules, and self-paced resources—to enhance the skills of our internal team, including product managers, program success managers, engineers, and all new-hires. Ensure these programs align with Thalamus' Raving Fans focus, organizational goals, and technological advancements.

  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams to Identify Learning Needs. Engage with stakeholders across various departments to assess educational requirements. Utilize insights to create targeted learning roadmaps that address specific skill gaps and support career progression within the company.

  • Evaluate and Enhance Learning Effectiveness. Implement metrics and feedback mechanisms to assess the impact of training programs. Continuously refine content and delivery methods based on data-driven insights to ensure ongoing relevance and effectiveness.

You Should Have...

  • Proven expertise in building knowledge bases, user guides and other assets for a product-led company.

  • Deep experience in designing and delivering technical training programs for cross-functional internal teams

  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)

  • Familiarity with software development concepts and the ability to translate complex technical information into accessible training materials

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders across departments to assess and meet training needs

  • Experience managing multiple projects with tight timelines and strong focus on details and nuances

  • Ability to build assessments and use feedback/data to improve learning outcomes

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to write in Thalamus' voice

  • Comfortable adapting training approaches based on evolving company needs

Bonus

  • Exposure to graduate medical education (GME), healthcare, or physician recruitment industries

  • Experience as a product manager or technical copywriter

  • Background in early-stage startups, especially during Series B to D growth phases

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 and a grant of stock options. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and geographic location.
