About the job

We are seeking a skilled Sales Compensation Operations Manager to join our team. You will lead a team of Sales Compensation professionals and manage the administration of sales compensation plans, including commission calculations, validation, accruals, plan modeling, and dispute resolution.


In this role, you’ll:

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of systems as a functional and operational stakeholder, ensuring their alignment with our day-to-day operations and prioritization of operational efficiency enhancements
  • Responsible for the ongoing assessment and refinement of operational processes and best practices in support of sales compensation operations
  • Develop and maintain sales compensation operational policies and procedures, ensuring that they are updated as necessary and compliant with complementing sales operations, finance, HR, and payroll policy

  • 3+ years of experience in sales compensation management or a related role
  • Experience in defining and operationalizing sales compensation policy
  • 1+ years of team leadership experience
  • Expert Microsoft Excel user with strong analytical skills
  • Experience administering sales compensation via Xactly or similar platforms
  • Solid project, program and people management skills
  • Experience and ability to effectively define and execute against ad hoc and recurring validation procedures
  • Excellence in constructive and collaborative dispute and conflict management
  • Ability to define, aggregate, and analyze metrics to assess performance drivers
  • Demonstrated proficiency in structuring complex problems, developing solutions, and crafting recommendations into easily digestible messages, communications, and executive presentations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills


  • 5+ years of experience in sales compensation management or a related role
  • Experience in fast growing Software company
  • Experience with Salesforce and Google Docs
  • Experience supporting global sales organizations


This role will be remote and based in the USA.

The estimated pay range for this role are as follows:

  • Based in Colorado: $109,280 - $136,600
  • This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan. All roles are eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state.
