SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support our insurance operations. This role is responsible for analyzing financial performance, assisting in preparing forecasts and budgets, supporting strategic planning, and delivering insights to improve financial outcomes across the organization. The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Director of FP&A. This position requires extensive interaction and collaboration with other members of the Finance team, as well as various departments within the Company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for delivering exceptional financial management and analysis that directly drives business growth and operational success
- Develop and track budgets to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and alignment with program goals.
- Perform business analysis and programmatic activities, providing data-driven insights to program management teams.
- Conduct financial reconciliation and reporting of accounts for all the company’s entities?
- Use data analytics tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI) to extract and visualize key performance metrics.
- Participate in strategic planning initiatives and ad-hoc financial projects.
- Utilize data analysis and visualization tools to present financial results.
- Build financial models to assist in operational analytics, as well as ensure the integrity of financials
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or similar field
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in handling imported/exported data for reporting and analysis
- Ability to perform accurate financial calculations for cost/budget analysis.
- Understanding of general accounting principles
- History of building strong relationships across teams?
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear, concise, and professional communication
- Ability to excel in a collaborative team environment
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to challenges
- Adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with SQL, SAS, or other data query languages.?
- Knowledge or experience with the Health insurance industry?
- 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, including variance explanations
