SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst to join our actuarial team. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to apply their analytical skills in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will gain hands-on experience in core actuarial functions and have opportunities to grow within a collaborative and mission-driven organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the development of Incurred But Not Reported (IBNR) reserves for monthly close processes
• Support monthly financial reconciliation for Value-Based Providers
• Contribute to the development and submission of Medicare Advantage bids
• Assist with quarterly forecasting and trend analysis
• Perform financial analysis and build actuarial models
• Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Completion of at least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) exam
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or coursework in SQL, Python, or R
• Internship or project experience in healthcare or insurance analytics
• Familiarity with Medicare Advantage or value-based care models
• 0-3 years experience in actuarial analysis, reserving, Medicare Advantage, and/or value-based settlements.
