SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Finance Manager has as extensive role in completing the Company’s monthly GAAP and STAT financials. This person oversees detailed financial analysis and reporting of the Company’s monthly results, providing value-added analysis and explanations of variances to budget/forecast. This position requires extensive interaction and collaboration with other members of the Finance team, as well as various departments within the Company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage Accounting Operations: Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Manage recording and reporting actuals for expenses (invoices, vendor setup, GL, etc.)
- Maintain weekly cash forecasts
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits and tax filings.
- Conduct financial reconciliation and reporting of accounts for all company’s entities
- Assist with financial data reconciliation
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with outside consultants on financial, tax and other statutory State filings, including quarterly/annual statutory financial statement filings.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, and enhanced financial reporting capabilities.
- Partner with operations, HR, and executive leadership on financial planning and business strategy.
- Assist, develop and execute to Model Audit Rule compliance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of 6 years’ accounting and/or finance experience
- Strong background in financial statement analysis
- Experience in creating and managing various operational and financial reports
- History of building strong relationships across teams
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills
