Summary Description

The Senior Reporting Analyst, Claims Operations is responsible for supporting and leading advanced analytics related to medical claims, cost performance, and utilization trends. This role translates complex data into actionable insights that inform strategic and operational decision-making.

Essential Functions

  • Extract, compile, and analyze data from multiple systems to support decision-making
  • Analyze medical claims to identify trends, risks, and cost drivers
  • Evaluate financial performance and recommend improvement strategies
  • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor claims performance
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses of cost and utilization issues
  • Communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across clinical, UM, and provider teams
  • Support analytics projects, reporting, and presentations
  • Maintain reporting tools using SQL, Excel, and Power BI
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess business impact
Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of healthcare analytics or medical economics experience
  • Experience with payer or managed care data
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI or similar tools
  • Experience working with large datasets
  • Knowledge of claims processing and healthcare coding
  • Understanding of reimbursement models
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medicare Advantage experience
  • Familiarity with claims platforms
  • Experience with cost containment initiatives

$97,000-$107,000 Annually based on experience
