About the Role

This is a part-time contract position (1099) that requires 20 hours per week for 6 months after the start date for this role. You will be paid a monthly rate of $3330 at the end of each month. We are not able to provide benefits at this time. This is a remote role based in New Jersey and we are seeking someone located in Southern or Northwestern, NJ. Statewide travel is required therefore access to reliable transportation is necessary. We’ll provide up to $200 per month to reimburse you for transportation costs.

Catchafire has partnered with a notable foundation since 2016 to provide critical capacity-building support to nonprofit leaders in New Jersey. We have embarked on a new pilot program, the New Jersey Equity Fund, which seeks to address inequity and ensure Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) led and serving nonprofits are provided with resources that can have an outsized impact on their work in their communities.

The New Jersey Equity Fund will prioritize nonprofits in Southern and Northwestern NJ counties with lower than average median incomes and higher than average BIPOC populations. The Community Partnerships Manager will work with local partners and use existing data sources to identify organizations and develop methods to engage with and support BIPOC-led nonprofits, ultimately developing a cohort of BIPOC-led nonprofits.

Throughout the pilot, Catchafire will learn about the unique challenges BIPOC-led and serving nonprofits encounter in accessing available services. We will share data insights with our foundation partner so programming and funding is aligned with the needs of the most under-resourced nonprofits. An outcome of this pilot program will be enhanced Catchafire offerings that support more BIPOC-led and serving nonprofits in communities in NJ and beyond.
